Community Involvement

SafeKids of Greater Houston

The SafeKids of Greater Houston works to prevent accidental death and injury to minors in the Houston Area. Accidental injury is the number one cause of death among children ages 14 and under in the United States. Also, each year one out of every four children needs medical attention for an accidental injury. Monument Chevrolet is proud to participate in their Child Passenger Safety program.

With the generous help of SKGH’s volunteers we are pleased to conduct a monthly car seat checkup, on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Open to the public, the SKGH volunteers:

  • inspect safety seats
  • check for recalls
  • shows parents how to properly install seats
  • replace unsafe, recalled, damaged, or improper seats.

4 out of 5 car seats are used incorrectly! Get yours checked today!

Sarah's House

Sarah’s House operates a Houston shelter for homeless women and children. Each day the volunteers and staff work to provide families with basic necessities, as well as education, ranging from life-skills to employment coaching. The ultimate goal of each effort within the organization is to move families toward self-sufficiency.
